SPRING SHOWJUMPING SHOWS

Saturday 9th & 23rd April 2005
at Strathearn Eventing,
Nr. Perth,
on A85.

Showjumping open to all riders, horses and ponies 4yrs & over on 1 January. Courses will be built with "warm up" idea for forthcoming season. On grass with plenty space. Prizes awarded in kind . Rosettes 1st - 6th in all classes.
Horses may be registered or unregistered. Riding & Pony Club members welcome. All clears will go forward to second round against the clock in classes 1 & 2, but classes 3-5 may be judged as a two phase - if clear over first set of fences continue on second part immediately against the clock as your jump off round.(depending on entries) Horses may be entered in more than one class and may compete more than once in a class but H.C after the first round if entries permit.

ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON DAY WITH £2.00 SURCHARGE PER HORSE PER CLASS

ENTRY FEE ALL CLASSES: £6.00/horse/class. (£1.00 of this to medical cover) Cheques payable to 'Strathearn Eventing'

CLOSING DATE ENTRIES: Thursday 7th for the 9th and Thursday 21st for the 23rd April. Entries will still be accepted after this by post or fax at £2.00 surcharge/horse/class or on the day.

START 9.30AM PROMPT

CLASS 1 INTRO CLASS - 0.75m (2'5") First Round Maximum height 0.80m (most of course at 2'3)

CLASS 2 PRE-NOVICE CLASS - 0.85m (2'9") First Round Maximum height 0.90m(most of course at 2'6)

CLASS 3 NOVICE CLASS - 0.95m (3'0") First Round Maximum height 1.00m, two phase. CLASS 4

INTERMEDIATE CLASS - 1.05m (3'5") First Round Maximum height 1.10m, two phase.

CLASS 5 OPEN CLASS - 1.10m (3'7") First Round Maximum height 1.15m, two phase.

If insufficient entries or time permits a clear round format will be held at £3.00 a round. Fences raised as required by competitors.

Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organiser or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor Strathearn Eventing, nor the British Horse Society, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts liability for any accident. Loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the organiser and all officials and stewards.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The organisers reserve the right to cancel or combine classes, or refuse entry.
2. It is a condition of entry that: Any person when mounted must wear a riding hat to a minimum of standard of PAS 015, ASTM F1163 or EN 1384 correctly fastened at all times.
3. Entries will only be accepted after payment.
4. No refund of entry money will be made unless cancelled by Strathearn Eventing. Refund will then be made although 10% of fee will be kept for administration costs. A S.A.E must be sent to reclaim fees.
5. Any complaint must be made in writing accompanied by £20.00 deposit to secretary. The deposit will be refunded if the complaint is upheld by the organiser whose decision is final.
6. All horses must be 4 years and over.
7. Please ensure all litter is disposed of responsibly
