Sarah Houlden (nee England)
Sarah Houlden BSc Hons, EFI Level 2 Coach is based at Strathearn Eventing, which has the finest training facilities available in Scotland. Encompassing 200 cross country options of varying heights, showjumps and an all weather Pasada Eurotrack arena. These facilities can be hired throughout the year, by individuals, groups or clubs.
Strathearn Eventing was opened in 1992 by Ian Stark (Olympic Gold medal winner). Based in rural Perthshire amongst 50 acres of permanent pasture and woodland with the “Jessie Burn” providing two water complexes, Strathearn Eventing now boasts 1500-2000 riders through the gates each year.
Clinics by International riders and
trainers are held throughout the year, providing a thorough days tuition.

Tuition and encouragement is available in all aspects of event training from Sarah, five times member of British Three Day Event Teams. Horses and riders of all abilities and ages are welcome to stay and enjoy the variety on offer at Strathearn Eventing. Iona Campbell BHSAI joined Strathearn Eventing to assist with coaching aspects of young and inexperienced riders upwards. Iona as an enthusiastic and fun approach to her lessons specialising in pony/riding clubs groups and individuals.
Strathearn Eventing - The Team.
Horses and ponies can be taken for schooling where one to one care is provided. Sarah as a wealth of experience in the equine field. A practical knowledge of coaching and schooling horses/ponies at all levels in cross country, show jumping, dressage. Producer and rider of county winning show and working hunters. Hazel England (Sarah's mother) has a lifetimes experience in producing horses and ponies for competition, a thorough knowledge of breeding lines and an exceptional eye for horse correctness and conformation. A practical understanding of good equine husbandry and rehabilitating horses. Iona has a thorough knowledge in equine care. A high standard of riding ability enables Iona to school a wide range of horses and ponies.
